The Shining Dust Jacket

July 30, 2014

Earlier this year Subterranean Press asked me to produce an extra piece of artwork for The Shining to be used on a wraparound dust jacket that would be sent out exclusively to those who had purchased the Limited Edition.

It was fun to get to revisit The Shining and create this extra image for it.  I thought it would be cool to make use of the fact that this would be a wraparound dust jacket and came up with the idea for an image which would have Jack chasing Danny down the corridors, in a way so that you would only see Jack on the front of the book, and Danny on the back.

Any chance that you’ll do prints of this one? I just love what you did with the dust jacket art!

I’m considering doing this as a limited edition print only, and should decide soon… If it’s something you’d be interested in getting, you can email me your email address and I’ll let you know as soon as I’ve decided if I’ll be doing limited or open edition prints of it.

My email is I have run out of room on my walls, but that’s okay. Besides, I’ve been told the ceiling is an option!

Fantastic art. Any chance you would be selling copies?

Thanks Jon. I’ll be selling prints of it but haven’t decided yet if I’ll be doing it as a limited edition run or as an open edition. If you send me your email I can contact you as soon as I’ve decided and let you know the details.
