Deeplight Cover Art

Here’s the very tentacular cover art I did for the US edition of Frances Hardinge’s new fantasy adventure novel, Deeplight, which is described as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea meets Frankenstein. This edition of Deeplight will be published by Amulet Books on 14 April 2020.
Together with the design team at Amulet Books, we experimented with a lot of different concepts before settling on this approach. Below you can see various sketches I did.
