Good Girls Dustjacket Art Preview

Earthling Publications’ edition of Good Girls, Glen Hirshberg’s follow-up to Motherless Child, will be up for preorders tomorrow.  Here’s a preview of my wraparound artwork for the dustjacket, and below are some sketches showing the progression of the art.

Both Glen and the publisher thought the pose of the character might be a touch too menacing and thought perhaps her facial and arm expression could be toned down, so I tried a number of alternative poses.

Both liked pose D with the minor adjustment of making her fingers less ‘vampire-esque’, so I tweaked it and added it to the main sketch to see how it would work within the whole image.
